Raindrop in a bottle

I was reminded of this wonderful recipe today while at the chiro. My lymph glands were feeling a bit sore and I was a bit tired.

It would be a perfect time to receive Raindrop Technique to boost my immune and rebalance.

While there is no substitute for a hands on session by a Raindrop facilitator this recipe is a wonderful way heal.

go to www.oil-testimonials.com/essential-oils.php?tID=1064&x=932

In addition, drank some extra Ningxia Red, took a couple of Inner Defense and Thieves in a caps. Already feeling better.

What could be better?

How Are Essential Oils Different From Herbs and Food Supplements

Discovering how essential oils are different from herbs and food supplements is an important step in learning the variety of ways to use these powerful plant oils.

Essential Oils are the heartbeat of the plant kingdom, and are perhaps the most exciting life-giving substance we have in the world today. They represent in plants what blood represents in humankind - life! This heartbeat is the energy that was created to deliver the nutrients into every cell of the body Defined; Essential oils are the subtle, volatile liquids that are distilled from plants, shrubs, flowers, trees, bushes and seeds. An ancient process, oil distillation is a delicate and precise art that has been almost forgotten. Science is just now re-discovering the incredible healing power of Essential Oils, and beginning to acknowledge their value for our health.

More Potent Than Herbs....

Being concentrated, the oils contain virtually all of the plants healing nutrients, oxygenating molecules, amino acid precursors, coenzyme A factors, trace minerals, enzymes, vitamins, hormones and more. And because they are concentrated, EO's are from 50 to 70 times more therapeutically potent than the herbs or plants they are derived from. Unlike dried herbs that can lose up to 90% of the healing nutrients and oxygen molecules, Essential Oils do not. Research further shows that Essential Oils when applied to skin will penetrate every single cell within 20 minutes.

Because the very life force of the plant is contained in EO's, and because this life force synergizes so favorably with the human body, Essential Oils are now being considered as medicine by some of the world's most prominent doctors.

Clinical research has proven 100% pure (without any solvents or chemical additives), Essential Oils to be:

Immune Stimulating, Antiviral, Anti-infection, Antibacterial, Antimicrobial, Antiseptic, Antitumoral, Antifungal
Recent research has also shown that many of the so called "super bugs" that has modern medicine so concerned, cannot survive in the presence of essential oils...Nor has there been any pathogen known to resist EO's by mutating.

Best of all, 100% pure, therapeutic grade Essential Oils are freely available and safe for home use. Many people diffuse the oils into the atmosphere of their homes, creating a virus free and pleasant environment. Many of the oils are applied directly to the skin to receive almost immediate benefit from many ailments.
Others are inhaled for relief from headaches, nausea, emotional release, etc.

Nature's Most Effective Delivery Agent!"

Because Essential Oils contain such high amounts of oxygenating molecules, they act as an effective delivery agent to bring food nutrients THROUGH the cell wall to feed the cell nucleus.

Without an adequate delivery agent to assist the cell to receive needed nutrients, the cell can become deprived of needed nutrition. Without adequate nutrition, the cell wall thickens hindering further delivery of nutrients. When malnutrition occurs, the cell begins to deteriorate, creating a host for disease-causing pathogens. Essential Oils are known for their ability to pass through the thickest cell walls. They have the ability to restore diseased and malnourished cells back to health. In fact, EO's are nature's most effective catalyst and delivery agent for feeding your body's several trillion cells.

The POWER of Ningxa Red - Strongest Antioxidant food supplement juice

In China, in the early 1980s, a group of researchers from the Natural Science Institute began studying a region on the West Elbow Plateau of the Yellow River in Inner Mongolia where people lived to be over 100 years old, 10 to 20 years longer than the average person in the region.

The inhabitants shared one trait that distinguished them from others. They were predominantly vegetarian and regularly consumed wolfberries. Moreover, the people who consumed this fruit lived free of common degenerative diseases like arthritis, cancer, and diabetes. Both the Ningxia wolfberry (also known as Lycium barbarum by botanists and as the goji berry by native Chinese) and ginseng (Panax ginseng) have been highly regarded for centuries as the foremost nutritional and therapeutic plants in China.

In fact, the Chinese hold a strong belief that human life might be extended significantly by using either of these herbs for an extended period. Unfortunately, ginseng is considered too strong for continuous use, and large amounts may not be suitable for people with high blood pressure or heart disease. On the other hand, the wolfberry is much milder, with no known risk from continuous use.

Last Minute Gift Idea

I LOVE taking baths with epsom salts and / or baking soda with essential oils. I was reminded by friend this morning how easy you can create a wonderful simple gift for a friend, family member or hostess, etc.

Find a pretty jar or make a fabric cap for a mason jar and half fill with Epsom salts or a mixture of Epsom Salt & baking soda. Tip 2-3 drops of your favorite oil blend (like Peace & Calming) and then fill the rest of the way with Epsom salts. Shake well.

The oils will diffuse and fragrance the whole jar creating a relaxing & cleansing bath experience, what a great gift!

NOTES:
  • This makes a great a way to introduce friends and family to the power of the oils as well. Use about 2 drops in a quart size jar!
  • For a great detox or auric cleanse use all baking soda and a few drops of clove essential oil.
Enjoy!!

December’s Recipe Using Clove and More!

December’s Recipe Using Clove and More!

Oh, Christmas tree, oh, Christmas tree…how lovely are thy seasonal fruits! Mixed with fresh baby greens, this makes a festive holiday salad with colors that glimmer like twinkling lights. I like to introduce this dish by separating the ingredients for my children to design their own edible Christmas trees. I encourage them to decorate any way they choose and then we take pictures of their artwork. They are more excited to eat their creations when they have had their hand in the creative play—and I am thrilled to see them eating healthfully!
Clove, cinnamon, tangerine, and orange YLTG essential oils electrify the taste buds for a delicious, tangy, sweet, and spicy start to any holiday celebration. As we sprinkle drops of orange oil on the salad (see recipe instructions), I like to share with my children the story of how in times of hardship, seasonal fruits and nuts were given as presents instead of toys. The drops of oil nestled within the fresh greens represent oranges as presents under the Christmas tree. The surprise is revealed when tasting the hint of oil throughout each bite. Brighten this time of the year with health and vitality from the gifts found in nature.

Until next post: January’s Chipotle Party Pepper Poppers

Happy Eating

Clove Cinnamon Seeds
1 c. soaked and dried pumpkin seeds
1 c. soaked and dried sunflower seeds
3/4 c. maple syrup or maple sugar
¼ c. Nama Shoyu or wheat-free Tamari
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 drops YLTG clove oil
1 drop YLTG cinnamon oil

This component should be made at least two days ahead of time. Combine ingredients and pour onto solid dehydrator sheets in one layer. Dehydrate 24 hours @ 105° Fahrenheit. Flip the gooey mixture onto mesh sheets. Continue drying until crisp, approximately 24 hours. Store in the freezer until ready to use.

Tangerine Pomegranate Vinaigrette
1/3 c. raw honey or maple sugar
1/4 c. pomegranate juice
1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
1 c. grapeseed oil
1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
1/4 tsp. ground mustard powder
1/4 tsp. Himalayan salt
1/4 tsp. fresh ground pepper
3 Tbsp. poppy seeds
4 drops YLTG tangerine oil

Half one pomegranate and juice both halves in a citrus juicer, as if juicing an orange. Reserve 1/4 cup extracted juice for the dressing. Blend first three ingredients in a Vita Mix blender. On slow speed, add grapeseed oil until emulsified. Pulse chop the remaining ingredients. (Before adding the tangerine oil, I like to taste the dressing first. Then, I add the oil drops to taste the difference. I truly appreciate how delightful the oil flavors the recipe!)

Orange Holiday Greens
1 lb. mixed baby greens
4 Fuyu persimmons, julienne
4 red pears, julienne
2 baby cucumbers, sliced
Seeds from 1 pomegranate
4 drops YLTG orange oil, per serving
1 starfruit, sliced (optional to top the tree)

Toss baby greens with vinaigrette. Mound salad greens in the center of each plate. Drop 4 drops orange oil throughout each mound of greens. Arrange ingredients around plate for everyone to decorate their own Christmas tree. Top the mound with a slice of starfruit (optional).

To create a deeper sleep, rub on the bottoms of your feet before bed.

Combating Emotional Abuse with Everyday Oils

Combating Emotional Abuse with Everyday Oils

Few things are as mentally challenging as emotional abuse. Emotional abuse is constant exposure to insults, destructive criticisms, berating, and belittling. Personal abuse of words, actions, and ideas can come from virtually anyone: a spouse, coworkers, family members, or even from your own mind.

Emotional abuse degrades self-esteem, creating a negative cycle of self-doubt and depression. Keeping negative feelings locked inside is very damaging both to the mind and body. Emotional darkness locked inside stifles creativity and personal progression. Negative emotions can be stored in muscles, joints, liver, and digestive organs, causing physical symptoms such as pain, decreased mobility, and indigestion.
There are ways to overcome the patterns of emotional abuse. With proper help you can effectively process negative emotions and break the downward spiral of low self-esteem.

First, it’s important to distance yourself from the emotional abuse. After the source has been resolved, use essential oils to start healing from the trauma. If you have Young Living's Everyday Oils collection, you have what you need to begin to combat negative emotions and the symptoms of emotional abuse.

Valor®
Apply a few drops on the shoulders. It can help the body receive a feeling of empowerment to give courage to the mind and soul and improve self-esteem. This is a key oil to aid in overcoming emotional abuse because of the lifting effect on the body, mind, and soul.

PanAway®
Use a drop over the heart to relieve any pain or discomfort that might be held in the heart from emotional abuse. It may also be applied topically over any aches or pains to relieve the negative memory stored in the body.

Peace & Calming®
Apply a few drops to the bottom of the feet. Allow the oil blend to draw in peace and calm the body.

Frankincense
Apply to the top of the head. Frankincense can help connect to light and spiritual power within, comforting the mind and helping to overcome stress.

Lavender
Lavender is calming and soothing to the body, mind, and soul. The oil is also balancing and calming to the nervous system.

Lemon
Add a few drops of lemon essential oil to water. It has a cleansing effect on the liver—where anger and negative emotions are stored—and can help let go of emotional negativity and darkness.

Peppermint
Emotions may be held and stored in the digestive organs, causing pain in the stomach and abdomen. Put a drop of peppermint in the mouth or in a glass of water to help the digestive organs let go of negative emotions.

Purification®
Diffuse Purification in a Young Living diffuser or smell right from the bottle. When processing abuse, Purification can aid in cleansing and can balance heart functions.

Thieves®
Appling Thieves to the feet can help create feelings of protection and courage, giving the body strength and support to the immune system.

Understanding emotional abuse and how to use Young Living's Everyday Oils collection can help break the downward spiral of negative emotions and increase self-esteem and love.

Peace be with you,

Kaye Lynne

Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil

During winter's cold and flu season, cinnamon essential oil can be a great choice to diffuse into the air. Several studies have indicated that cinnamon oil has demonstrated a high level of antibacterial activity against several common respiratory tract pathogens. It has also demonstrated antifungal activity in several studies as well.

In addition to these benefits, cinnamon's spicy, warm scent is a perfect choice for brightening the holiday season!

When the Bee Stings!

It sure pays to have your oils with you!

It was a gorgeous day yesterday during our Fall Homeschool Soccer season kick off. After soccer a few kids went for a stroll in the woods and accidentally disturbed a bees nest under foot. Unfortunately, two kids and one mom got stung.

I immediately ran to get "my take along bag of oils". I put on a couple of drops of Purification (the best cure all for healing all insect bites) and Thieves for one child and Purification and later Peppermint for the other child and his mom.

Over this past summer when my son & husband got stung I did the following:

Purification first, Thieves followed by Lavender. Used Lavender to help them relax. I then mixed Lavender, Peppermint, Wintergreen and Chamomile (this recipe is listed in the EODR) with a cold compress to assist with the swelling pain. By the end of the evening they were feeling much better.

I am grateful I can use a safe and effective natural remedy like Young Living Essential Oils to help assist my loved ones and friends!

Have a beautiful day!

Using Essential Oils in the Garden

Young Living's Essential 7 Kit is a must have throughout the year, and especially in summertime when we are more apt to enjoy the outdoors. Many organic practices simply make sense, regardless of what overall agricultural system is used. Far from being a quaint throwback to an earlier time, organic agriculture is proving to be a serious contender in modern farming and a more environmentally sustainable system over the long term.

Essential Oils are simple, organic options to use in the garden. For plants infested with insects, use one of the following essential oils. Fill a mist spray bottle with 4 oz. of water, add the essential oils and mist the infested plant. Use as little as possible. Several applications, a few days apart, may be necessary:

Spearmint: ants, aphids, caterpillars, black flea beetle, gnats, lice, moths, and plant lice.

Peppermint: ants, aphids, bean beetle, cabbage root fly, caterpillars, black flee beetle, flies, lice, moths, and plant lice.

Lemongrass: black flea beetle, fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks.

Tansy: black fly, carrot fly, fleas, flies, greenfly, mosquitoes, and white fly.

Hyssop: aphids, cabbage root fly, moths, and slugs.

Thyme: bean beetle, cabbage root fly, cutworm, and ticks.

Sage: cabbage root fly, cutworm, nematodes, ticks, and white fly.
Rosemary: cabbage root fly and carrot fly.

Patchouly: gnats, snails, weevils, and woolly aphids.

Pine: slugs, snails, and wooly aphids.

Sandalwood: weevils and wooly aphids.

Purification: will not only help keep the bugs away, but when applied to a bite or sting, will neutralize the venom. Apply a drop of Purification to wasp, bee, and yellow jacket stings and mosquito bites too..

These recommendations apply only to Young Living Essential Oils. Be sure to check your Essential Oils Reference Guide for additional ideas about using Young Living Essential Oils in your garden.

Feelings Kit / Emotional Chart

There is more focus on emotional behavior and psychological conditions of the body now than at any time in our history.  Many docotrs are recognizing the possiblility that a numer of diseases are caused by emotional problems that link back to infancy and perhaps even to the womb.  These emotional problems may have compromised our immune system or genetic structuring, causing children to be come allergic to something that the mother ingested while pregnant.

Essential oils play an important role in assisting people to move beyond these emotional barriers.
The aldehydes and esters of certain essential oils are very calming and sedating to the central nervous system (including both the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems).  These substant allow us to relax instead of letting anxiety build up in our body.  Anxiety creates an acidic condition that activates the transcript enzyme which then transcribes that anxiety on the RNA template and stores it in the DNA.  That emotion than becomes a predominant factor in our lives from that moment on.

When we encounter an emotionally charged situation, instead of being overwhelmed by it, we can diffuse essential oils, put them in our bath, or wear them as cologne.  The aromatic molecules will absorb into the bloodstream from the nasal cavity to the limbic system.  They will activate the amygdala (The memory center for fear and  trauma) and sedate and relax the sympathetic/parasympathetic system.     The oils help support the body in minimizing the acid that is created so that it does not initiate a reaction with the transcript enzyme.
Because essential oils affect the amygdala and pineal gland in the brain, they can help the mind and body by releasing emotional trauma and sharpening focus.

People have many distractions in today's fast-paced world.  Essential oils may assist people to stay centered in their goals.  Those who are struggling to retain or remember information acan breathe the essential oils of peppermint, cardamom, or rosemary to stimulate the brain and memory functions for better concentration.  Those who find it diddicult to stay focused an breathe the essential oils of galbanum, frankincense, sandalwood, and melissa.  These oils are extemely beneficial for clarifying one's purpose.  The blend of Gathering will also bring focus to people's minds.  For emotional clearing and release, the combination of essential oils called Tramua Life is especially helpful.

Make your own "Salvation Kit" in this order:

Joy, Gratitude, Humility, Surrender, Release, forgiveness, and Believe.

Present Time                    Body Location                       Past  (creates acid)
Joy-----------------------Adrenals, Heart--------------Unhappiness
Aroma Life---------------Heart, Lung------------------Unhappiness
Gratitude-----------------Pancreas---------------------Want and need;  ungrateful
Gratitude-----------------Prostate or Ovary------------Want and need
Humility------------------Liver-------------------------Aggression & anger
Surrender----------------Gall Bladder------------------Control and manipulation
Surrender, Release-------Liver-------------------------Holding onto emotions; boiling
Surrender, Release-------Pancreas---------------------Want and need; ungrateful
Release------------------Colon------------------------Holding; unconscious need to control
Release------------------Kidney-----------------------Resisting going in the flow of life
Forgiveness--------------Adrenals---------------------Blaming or accusing others
Forgiveness, Joy---------Lungs, Heart-----------------Suppression
Believe, Joy, Surrender--Lungs------------------------Unable to express, speak up for self
Believe------------------Lungs------------------------Doubt; need for attention or recognition
Harmony----------------Chakras----------------------Chakras off balance
Inner Child--------------Ear---------------------------Abuse, rejection, fear, mother, father

What are your weak areas of the body? Close your eyes and identify where that came from, and question it. When you live in the past, the body creates acid. Live in the present moment now, and be excited about your life, be creative. During traumatic times, alter your diet to rebalance your system, eat acid-binding (alkaline) foods, and drink lemon in water daily; (to prevent the acid from transcribing and imprinting the negative emotion, and even if you create acid during this time, it will be eliminated rather than stored.)Pancreas - emotionally a place of want and need there, and a lack of gratitude. Remember, when there is no need, there is nothing wrong.

The person who has no need has everything! One who has need has nothing. Reactivate the pancreas to come back into function and secrete properly. Use the Gratitude blend on the Pancreas and on the Vita Flex points. Say, "I am grateful for all that I am and for all that I have." Ask yourself, "If I were totally full of Gratitude, would there even be a need?" Also use Gratitude blend for Prostate or Ovary problems; it's from want and need. The Liver and Gall Bladder (digestibility) are big issues. Gall Bladder problem means you have difficulty surrendering to new direction or counsel. Use Surrender blend on the Gall Bladder; it is calming, sedating, relaxing, and surrendering. Apply Surrender and Release blends over the Liver and Pancreas, and overcome your "Discovery of Self" issues. (6 notebook self discovery work). Everything stems from self understanding, the understanding of others, and releasing the issue or situation. Whatever happened to you, see how you could have done it differently, look at what role you played, see what you did or put out wrong, then change it - and that change will change what comes back to you. Don't waste your energy stuck in anger, because it creates the acid not allowing the change.

Applying the Feelings Kit in Your Daily Life
by David Stewart
(Based primarily on notes taken on Gary Young's talk September 19, 2008, at the first Young Living European Convention, Vienna, Austria)

It has been said that when there is a conflict between reason and feeling, human beings will always side with feeling. According to Gary Young, "99% of life's decisions are made from feelings." Therefore, if you want your life to be guided by good decisions that lead to health, happiness, and fulfillment, you need to be aware of and in control of your present feelings and to learn how to release the repressed emotions of the past.
Most of our feelings from day to day are not responses to current happenings. They originate from the programming in cellular memory that was imprinted by the emotional experiences of our past that we were unable to understand, process, and resolve at the time.

These forgotten traumatic experiences function as live programming in our bodies, affecting every aspect of our lives and particularly in the area of how we make decisions. When our thoughts are limited by fears, lack of self-worth, and not feeling good enough for more or better, we make decisions that limit our success. Limited thinking leads to limited decisions that lead to a limited life far short of the God-given potential we actually possess.

By focusing on fixing your feelings, you can fix most aspects of your life--physical, mental, and spiritual. Essential oils are perfect vehicles to help you in this task because their molecules pass directly to the emotional brain and can bring us into contact with the issues we have long forgotten and enable us to deal with them and resolve them once and for all. When we clear our emotional baggage, we clear the way to manifest our true and highest potential.

According to Gary Young, "Thought equals frequency. Essential oils absorb our thoughts. They are registered in the oils as intent. Intent is directed energy. When you apply an intent-energized oil on your feet they can saturate all of your cells within 60 seconds, stimulating creative thinking and pushing negative energy out of the cells, thus increasing the frequencies of the cells throughout the body. In that uplifted state you can create a new desire to be better tomorrow. You have no limitations but those you choose to accept."
Gary says, "Use the Feelings Kit. Apply feeling oils before work and every night before bed. Do this for 30 days and you will change your life."

The Feelings Kit, is available in a modified version. It contains six oil blends: Valor, Harmony, Forgiveness, Release, Present Time, and Inner Child. Here is how Gary instructed us to use them at the Vienna Convention:

VALOR
Put Valor Oil on the soles of both feet at nighttime along with Highest Potential Blend. These blends are effective to erase limited thinking. Valor balances and equalizes the body's energies thereby increasing oxygen intake to the pineal gland-the seat of our higher intelligence and intuitive faculties. You will wake up in the morning more self assured and more alive to start the day.

HARMONY
Massage one drop of Harmony Oil on each of the energy center points of your body. There are seven of them along the spine: Coccyx, Sacrum, Lumbar, Dorsal (heart), Cervical (where neck meets shoulders), and Medulla (hollow place at center base of skull), and Pineal (center of forehead). You can also massage Harmony on the crown of the head. Harmony balances the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems which, in turn, gives us progressive creativity and feelings of confidence. "The biggest sin is not having confidence in yourself," says Gary, "He who lacks confidence lacks life."

FORGIVENESS
Apply Forgiveness Oil around the navel with the right hand going clockwise several times and think of situations where you need to forgive yourself or others. We beat up on ourselves, but everyone makes mistakes. Yet we struggle to forgive our own mistakes and those of others. Unforgiveness is one of the most common roots of physical, mental, and spiritual disease. Unforgiveness does not make the offending party sick. It makes us sick. Forgiveness is for our own benefit. It is accomplished in five steps. (1) Forgive yourself for allowing the person to affect your health and happiness. (2) Forgive the other person for any harm he or she may have caused you. (This need not be done directly with the person being forgiven, but is an inner adjustment on your part.) (3) Give the other person permission to forgive you. (4) See the good in the situation. (5) Be thankful for the experience and the lesson it taught you. Inhale and apply Forgiveness Oil while going through these steps and repeat as often as necessary toclear the feelings of unforgiveness.

RELEASE
Negative energy goes into the blood and then into the liver for cleansing where the toxins can remain trapped. Thus, the liver becomes a storage place for anger, resentment, bitterness, hatred, jealousy, envy, addictions, and a host of destructive feelings. Apply a few drops of Release Oil on your tongue to release the poisons of stored emotions from the liver. Rub Release over the liver area. Drink lots of pure water and do a liver cleanse.

PRESENT TIME
When we live in the past or dwell on the future, we are not being productive in the present. Energize three drops of Present Time by making clockwise circles on the oil in the palm of your hand and then apply it to your thymus (the gland just under your sternum or breastbone). Besides keeping you focused on the tasks of today, this can also help you financially by increasing your abundance consciousness in the present.

INNER CHILD
"When you are a child all things are possible. There are no limitations," says Gary Young. "When you find your inner child, you have found your true self. The child in you is your creativity." Apply one drop of Inner Child onto the pad of your thumb and then place your thumb onto the roof of your mouth. This opens the cranial sutures and stimulates the pineal, pituitary, and other organs of the emotional brain that occupy the space just above the roof of your mouth. Walking backwards while you have your thumb in your mouth looks stupid but it changes the rotation in the pelvis, elongating the spine, and decompressing the discs in your back. Thus, you can clear the nerve channels for energy to flow smoothly throughout your brain and body.

In conclusion, Gary said, "Use the Feelings Kit morning and night for 30 days. You will feel enthusiastic. Your life will be full of excitement. And people will be drawn to you like a magnet."

How Do Essential Oils Work?

How Do Essential Oils Work?

Dr GARY YOUNG

"Aromatherapy is a phrase coined by Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, Ph.D., in 1920, who was a French cosmetic chemist. While working in his laboratory, he had an accident that resulted in a third degree thermal burn of his hand and forearm. He plunged his arm into a vat of lavender oil, thinking that it was water. To his surprise, the burning slowly decreased and then stopped within a few moments. Over a period of time, with the continual application of lavender oil, the burn healed completely without a trace of a scar. As a chemist, he analyzed the essential oil of lavender and discovered that it contained many substances referred to as chemical constituents or chemical properties. As a result of this, Dr. Gattefosse determined that essential oils contained tremendous healing properties.

Dr. Gattefosse shared his experience with his colleague and friend, Dr. Jean Valnet, a medical doctor in Paris, France. During World War II, while serving as a medical physician in the French Army at the China Wall, treating war victims, Dr. Valnet ran out of antibiotics, so he decided to try using essential oils. To his amazement, they had a powerful effect in reducing and even stopping the infection, and he was able to save many of the soldiers who otherwise might have died even with antibiotics.

Dr. Valnet had two students who did their internship with him who were responsible for expanding his work, Dr. Paul Belaiche and Dr. Jean Claude Lapraz. They discovered that essential oils contain antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic properties as well as being powerful oxygenators with the ability to act as carrying agents in the delivery of nutrients into the cells.

For example, if you take a geranium plant and tear the leaf or the stem, a clear liquid will appear. This liquid is a very subtle and volatile essence that exudes from the damaged tissues of the leaf. So it is with the human body. With a cut or scrape, we see the flow of blood from that opening in the skin.

One significant difference between the blood and the plant liquid is the color. In the resin or oil being released from the plant, we find trace elements of nutrients, hormones, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, antibodies, and antifungal, antibacterial, anti-infectious, antiseptic, and immune-stimulating properties. Another key agent found present in that resin is OXYGEN. Oxygen molecules are part of the chemical elements of the resin, such as alcohols, phenols, esters, sesquiterpenes, terpinols, etc., which together create an essential oil.

The plant releases the oil in order to clean the break, kill bacteria and start the regeneration process. When blood is released because of broken skin, it is for the same purpose: to clean the wound, kill the bacteria, prevent infection, and begin the healing and regeneration process. A simple comparison of the plant and the human body shows us a precise similarity, as both the oil and the blood are the transporters of the fundamental nutrients necessary to feed and nurture the cells.

Furthermore, the essential oil has the ability in its chemical structure to penetrate the cell wall and transport oxygen and nutrients inside the cell, thus increasing cellular oxygen and giving more support to the immune system. Research has shown that with their immune-stimulating properties, essential oils enhance and support the building of the immune system, whether they are inhaled or rubbed on the body topically. Even those who contract a cold or the flu recover 70 percent faster using essential oils.

It has been said that when essential oils are diffused in the home, they have the ability to increase the atmospheric oxygen, as they release oxygenating molecules into the atmosphere. Oils increase ozone and negative ions in the home, which inhibit bacteria growth. This prevents and destroys existing odors from mold, cigarettes, animals, etc. Essential oils have the electrical magnetic attraction to fracture the molecular chain of chemicals and take them out of the air, rendering them non-toxic to the body. Scientists in European countries have found that essential oils will bond to metallics and chemicals and carry them out of the body, working as natural chelators, inhibiting these toxic substances from staying in the tissues. Essential oils remove dust particles out of the air and, when diffused in the home, can be the greatest air filtration system. These are all wonderful attributes of essential oils.

Essential oils can be extracted from plants, trees, seeds, flowers, petals, stems, roots, bark, or even the whole plant. Today, about 200 different types of oils are being distilled with several thousand chemical constituents and aromatic molecules that have been identified and registered. These aromatic Substances and compounds within the oils will alter and change based on weather conditions, climate, temperatures, and distillation factors. Today, 98 percent of essential oils are used in the perfume and cosmetic industry. In 1991, only ½ percent was used for Aromatherapy. In 1993, 2 ½ percent were produced for Aromatherapy or for therapeutic and medicinal application.

Essential oils are recognized as being the greatest substances for increasing cellular oxygen through their normal function. When applied to the body by rubbing on the feet, essential oils will travel throughout the body and affect every cell, including the hair, within 20 minutes. They may have a lasting effect for as long as five months from only one application. The oils do not build up and store in the body because they are very subtle and volatile and have a high evaporation rate. Because of their chemical structure, they are metabolized like other nutrients in the cells.

One of the causes of disease in both the plant and the human body is the inability of nutrients to penetrate the cell wall, causing cell deterioration, leading to cell mutation, creating a host for bacteria and disease.

The integral part of the nose responsible for odor detection is the olfactory, consisting of two membranes, one on each side of the mucous inembrane covering the bony extension of the nose. The olfactory membranes are very tiny and are well protected by the casing of the nose. They contain about 800 million nerve endings for processing and detecting odors. These nerve endings are triggered from a signal from the genes along the inside passage of the nose. The olfactory hair-like nerves receive the micro-fine, vaporized oil particles, carrying them along the axon of the nerve fibers, connecting them with the synapse of the secondary neurons in the olfactory bulb. The impulses carried to the limbic system and the olfactory sensory center at the base of the brain, pass between the pituitary and pineal gland and then to the amygdala, which is the memory center for fear and trauma. The impulses then travel to the gustatory center where the sensation of taste is perceived.

Only in 1989 was it discovered that the amygdala plays a major role in storing and releasing emotional trauma, and only odor or fragrance stimulalation has a profound affect in triggering a response with this gland. Dr. Joseph Ledoux, of the New York Medical University, feels that this could be major break-through in releasing emotional trauma.

People who have turbinate problems, such as a deviated septum, polyps, or who have had nose surgery, may have a very difficult or impossible time detecting the complete odor. The same holds true for people who have worn a lot of make-up, perfume and cologne or used hair sprays, hair colorings, perms and other products with synthetic odors. Many olfactory hairs respond to only one kind of odor molecule, and simultaneously others will respond to several different kinds of odors. This tells us that not all of the receptors are stimulated at the same time in the presence of odorous vapors.

The olfactory nerves are very much like other nerves and organs in the body. They also respond to electrical signals and impulses that form coded messages that are dispatched to various areas of the body. This may be why some oil inhalation will increase endorphin, neurotransmitter and antibody production.

Fragrance is one of man's greatest enjoyments, bringing back memories of past experience and creating a feeling of security, grounding and well-being."

101 USES FOR THE YOUNG LIVING® THIEVES® PRODUCTS

101 USES FOR THE YOUNG LIVING® THIEVES® PRODUCTS

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Thieves®

Thieves® Oil Blend is formulated with highly antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-infectious essential oils. Thieves® Oil Blend was created based on research of a group of 15th century thieves in France who protected themselves by rubbing themselves with cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics while robbing plague victims. This Young Living proprietary blend was university tested and found to be highly effective in supporting the immune system and good health. This proprietary blend has also been documented to kill over 99.96% of bacteria it comes into contact with.

Thieves® Oil Blend – use directly from bottle, diffuse, or dilute with purified water to spritz

Ingredients:
Clove (Syzygium aromaticum) has a sweet, spicy fragrance that is stimulating and revitalizing. An important ingredient in Thieves® Blend due to its wonderful immune-enhancing features, its principal constituent is eugenol, an element that is used in the dental industry to numb gums. Clove is the highest-scoring single ingredient ever tested for its antioxidant capacity on the ORAC scale.

Lemon (Citrus limon) has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that amplify immunity. It promotes circulation, leukocyte formation and lymphatic function.
Cinnamon Bark (Cinnamomum verum) has the wonderful cinnamon scent loved around the world. Warming and stimulating, it is comforting during the cold season. Many people find it highly romantic. Historically, cinnamon was so popular it was the main reason behind the occupation of Ceylon by first the Portuguese, then the Dutch and then the British.

Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus radiata) is cooling, refreshing and energizing. Lighter in smell than Eucalyptus globulus, it nevertheless has many of the same health-supporting properties. Because it is relatively gentle and non-irritating, it is the preferred choice for children. This variety is one of the most versatile of the eucalyptus oils and is suitable for topical use, diffusing, and even direct inhalation. It has long been an ingredient in some of our most popular blends.
Rosemary* (Rosmarinus officinalis CT cineol) has a fresh, herbaceous, sweet, slightly medicinal aroma. An energizing oil, it may be beneficial for helping to restore mental alertness when experiencing fatigue.
* Caution: Do not use on children under 4 years of age.) It is also a popular ingredient in skin and hair care products.

What is Anti?  "Against"
What is Microbial? "A minute living organism, minute forms of life, which are capable of causing disease including bacteria and fungi."

Essential Oils create an unfriendly environment which becomes deadly to disease causing bacteria, viruses and other pathogens.

DIFFUSING Thieves® essential oil blend with the Young Living® patented diffusing system creates a safe and simple means of filling your home with therapeutic benefits.  Many forms of bacteria and mold spores linked to many common ailments can travel through the air.  Diffusing Thieves adds an extra layer of protection by purifying the air while adding an uplifting scent to your home.
